Our GCSE course starts with learning about entrepreneurs and their motives for setting up businesses; this allows us to explore the concepts of risks and rewards and creativity.

We then learn about the importance of meeting customer needs and the impact of competition on business decisions, which in turn leads to learning about key financial indicators such as profit, cash flow and investment appraisal.

We also investigate the effects of the external environment on businesses and their decisions – this is when the subject truly comes to life.
