Parents & Students

At Portland Place we encourage parents to be actively involved with the school, keeping an open flow of information between the school and the needs of the parent.

Communication

Families can contact the form tutor, head of year or subject teacher directly via email should they have any specific questions.
Firefly is also used as a communication tool for academic information and homework.
The school office and headmaster send regular updates to parents on email, while the school newsletter ‘The Weekly Buzz’ is issued every Friday and contains an array of school news, information and activities.

Parents Association

All parents of children at Portland Place are automatically members of the Parents’ Association, and you are welcome to attend our meetings and social events – it’s a great way of becoming involved in the school community and getting to know other parents. Parent Teacher Meetings

Parent Teacher meetings are advertised in the newsletter well in advance.  At each meeting, parents have the opportunity to speak to all of their children’s teachers.
