At Portland Place we encourage parents to be actively involved with the school, keeping an open flow of information between the school and the needs of the parent.
Families can contact the form tutor, head of year or subject teacher directly via email should they have any specific questions.
Firefly is also used as a communication tool for academic information and homework.
The school office and headmaster send regular updates to parents on email, while the school newsletter ‘The Weekly Buzz’ is issued every Friday and contains an array of school news, information and activities.
All parents of children at Portland Place are automatically members of the Parents Network, and you are welcome to attend our meetings and social events – it’s a great way of becoming involved in the school community and getting to know other parents. There is more information on this under PPS Parents Network page of this website.
Parent Teacher Meetings
Parent Teacher meetings are advertised in the newsletter well in advance. At each meeting, parents have the opportunity to speak to all of their children’s teachers.
The booking system for Parent Teacher meeting can be found here:
Form teachers and Heads of Year can be seen at any time of the year by appointment.
Parent Teacher meetings, reports and exam dates can be found on the assessment and reporting timetable page of the website.
