Running in parallel with our on site school, Portland Place School Virtual has the same ethos and values. It provides a blended approach to learning, giving students the students the opportunity to learn through a medium they are naturally accustomed to as digital natives, whilst providing the social interaction and community feel of a traditional onsite independent school setting.
Portland Place School is a leading independent co-educational day school for children aged 10-16. It was founded with a particular purpose in mind: to be an alternative to the intense, large, examination focused independent day schools of which there are many in London.
The school ethos is to be small, nurturing and inspirational, encouraging and enabling our pupils to achieve their very best academically. With a high record of an overall 92% pass rate at Grades 9-4, The Good Schools Guide describes us as ‘small, nurturing and refreshingly relaxed. A haven of creativity in the pushy, academically competitive world of London day schools. A place for engaged, lively kids.’
Portland Place School is part of the Alpha Plus Group of Schools. The Chair of Governors is Sir John Ritblat who can be contacted at the
