  Music
Music is compulsory for the lower school. All pupils are taught to understand how music is created and are encouraged to take up an instrument. Tuition can also be arranged with instrumental teachers during or after school. One music scholarship is awarded every year to help cover this cost.

GCSE music is an optional GCSE. But is a popular subject and enjoys a 100% A*-C pass-rate. A level music has just been introduced at Year 12.

We encourage diversity and support pupils to excel in their chosen field. Many extra-curricular concerts are held every term. In addition to mainstream classical groups there are several student led pop, rock, funk and soul bands.
