Keeping our parents informed on their child’s performance is of high importance to us. Pupils are assessed by regular testing and homework throughout each term. These form the basis of twice termly reports. Formal examinations are held at the end of the Summer and Autumn terms.
All reports include an estimated National Curriculum attainment level for each subject and a grade for effort. End of term reports also include a formal record of each topic, exam marks and general comments on performance throughout the term.
These reports are the basis of the dialogue between staff and parents at Parents' Meetings held every term. These meetings encourage parents and staff to exchange ideas, as well as discuss the individual progress of their child.
Pupils in the GCSE year and sixth form students take formal mock exams early in the Spring Term followed by a meeting with parents to discuss examination entries.
