Year 6 Trip to the Tower of London
Year 6 Trip to the Tower of London
Year six took a trip to the Tower of London. There, they took part in a workshop which involved ‘digging up’ ancient artefacts which were found buried within the Tower’s walls. This required them to ask questions about the origin and age as well as using the objects to help them make assumptions about events which had happened at the tower and who lived there in the past. After the workshop, we explored the Tower – the highlights being the crown jewels and the White Tower which houses many original suits of armour including the miniature suit worn by Edward VI when he became king at just nine and the world’s tallest suit of armour!
